Job Purpose
The Capital Markets Authority is a statutory agency charged with the responsibility of regulating and developing an efficient capital market in Kenya.
Job Responsibilities
Reporting to the Deputy Director Market Supervision, the selected candidate will be responsible for; 1) Conducting onsite and offsite inspection activities in accordance with risk-based supervision methodologies and approved plans and preparing reports; 2) Assisting in conducting risk-profiling activities for regulated persons and preparing reports; 3) Maintaining a database on compliance by regulated entities with regulatory requirements; 4) Maintaining accurate, up-to-date and detailed electronic information database for regulated persons and periodically perform trend analysis; and 5) Conducting research on best practices on market supervision including AML/CFT practices.
Minimum Job Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: - Law (LLB), Finance, Economics, Commerce, Business Management, ICT, Agriculture, Actuarial Science, Mathematics/Statistics & Accounting or equivalent qualifications from a recognized and accredited institution.
